What Qualifications Do I Need to Be a Tree Surgeon?
If you’d like to start your career as a tree surgeon in Berkshire and the surrounding areas, you need to hold NPTC Certifications CS 30, 31, 38 & 39, or their equivalent. You also need to possess a full driving licence, ideally with B & E Class Entitlements. Experienced in the same or similar role is preferred, but not essential so long as you hold the correct qualifications. Due to ongoing eand xpanding client base and business growth, Arborfield Tree Care are currently recruiting for an Arborist Groundworkers to join our local team in Reading. We are interested in qualified, experienced groundworkers with the necessary drive, enthusiasm and commitment to add real value to our team.
Based at our Berkshire Depot, you would be expected to work across the local area, including Wokingham, Bracknell, Ascot, Henley, Fleet, Twyford, Maidenhead and Basingstoke.
As part of your arborist groundwork, you will be expected to work on a wide range of premises, including local authority, commercial and domestic projects. Your responsibilities will include tree and vegetation cutting to facilitate tree surgery. You will also be required to take part in groundwork services such as garden clearance, stump grinding and more.

Working Hour:
Basic working hours are Monday – Friday, 08:00 to 16:30. Opportunities for overtime and weekend working. Some Emergency Callout Liability.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
